A silver Pig stamped with the unofficial Sussex motto ‘We wunt be druv’. The phrase means ‘we won’t be driven’ or we can’t be forced to do anything we don’t want to do. The saying dates back at least to an 1875 dictionary of the Sussex dialect growing out of the history of the Sussex Weald, where foresters and peasants enjoyed more freedom from feudal lords and took part in the Peasants' Revolts of 1381 and 1450. The Sussex Pig became a physical mascot of this stubborn, independent character.

This necklace is made from recycled sterling silver with a satin finish, hand sawn and hand finished. It hangs on a silver chain. The pendant is 3cm in diameter.

This necklace can also be personalised or left blank, if you would like any different wording on your pig please leave a note with your choice of wording in the 'order special instructions' box in your cart !

Returns:

Personalised items cannot be returned. All other items please get in contact within 14 days and return item within 30 days. Please include name and order number with return. Item must be returned in the same condition you received it in.
